As we know, there are many jaw crusher efficiency factors when the jaw crusher working and the working condition of jaw crusher is very severe. Its working load changes frequently. The max working load is more than three times of the average working load. In this case, jaw crusher may by overload frequently because of unevenly feeding or the entering of uncrushable materials. Blow Bar Fixing Method

In the following part, we mainly introduce three commonly used fixing methods: screw fixing, platen fixing and wedge fixing.

Screw Fixing

Screw fixing method is to fix the blow bar by using several screws. In the fixing method, the screws stay in the surface and are very easy to be damaged. Besides, once the screws are under strong shear force, they might part. This will cause serious accident.

Platen Fixing

In the fixing method, the blow bar insert to the groove of rotor through sides and the both ends of blow bar are compacted by platens. But if we adopt this fixing method, the blow bar cannot be tightly compacted, especially in the working process, the blow bar will easily loose.

To make the blow bar tighten, we need to weld the blow and platens together. But the platens are easily to wear and difficult to change.

Wedge Fixing

In wedge fixing method, we generally are using the wedges to fix the blow bar on the rotor. In the working process, under centrifugal force, this fixing method can ensure the high-speed rotating of rotor. Besides, blow bar is tightly fixed on the rotor, with reliable performance and convenient to replace. For now, wedge fixing method is relatively better to fix the blow bar. Many manufacturers adopt this method to fix blow bar in impact crusher.

Of course, to extend the service life of blow bar, manufacturers not only need to adopt suitable fixing method, but also adopt high quality material to make blow bar and keep on optimizing the structure.
